After almost 20 years in this business, whenever I think I've seen it all another job comes along that leaves me speechless........ It never seizes to amaze me how many badly done jobs I discovered in the past, from poor workmanship to hazardous and possibly lethal butchering of a home. A home is possibly the biggest investment a person makes during their lifetime and it should be treated as such not only by the renovator but by the home owner as well. Before you hire anyone to work on your home, do your homework: make sure that the contractor is legitimate, make sure his references check out, and ask to SEE one of his jobs..... Many satisfied clients will be happy to return a favor to their honest contractor and will open their door to you if you ask.
I will try and post different aspects of poorly done work I have found on my job sites, reply to your questions and post your comments on this page.
As sometimes I work long hours, please forgive me if my answer to your question might be a bit delayed. As always, I'll try and give everybody my full attention........
